R&J Batteries Power into 2026 with All-New GR Supra Supercar
The wait is over! The all-new R&J Batteries GR Supra has officially hit the track! Today at Winton Motor Raceway, the brand new 2026 R&J Batteries Supercar made its public debut, revealing a fresh chapter in our ongoing partnership with Brad Jones Racing.

Andre Heimgartner’s 2026 contender features a bold reinterpretation of the classic R&J Batteries colours, accented by our signature stripes that slice across the Supra’s sleek, aggressive frame. Every line of the car has been designed to scream performance, from its aerodynamic curves to the purposeful stance of the #8 machine.
Behind the scenes, the car's creation was a labour of precision. Chassis and panels were perfected with PPG paints, while the livery was applied with meticulous care using 3M films, marking the culmination of a four-month build that brings the Supra to peak readiness for the season ahead.
Andre was visibly impressed as he saw the car for the first time:
“All I can say is ‘wow’. Look at this car, with the R&J Batteries colours on it, it looks amazing. I have to thank the team for all the effort that has gone into building the Supra. It’s been a challenge, but they’ve achieved something pretty great."

Today was a milestone moment as the #8 Supra rolled onto Winton Raceway, giving Andre his first hands-on experience with the 2026 machine and officially bringing the all-new Supercar to life. The roar of the 5.2 litre V8 was a perfect reminder of why R&J Batteries has been a proud partner of Brad Jones Racing for six years running. Our connection with the team goes far beyond sponsorship; we’re part of the racing family.
Ray Robson, Managing Director of R&J Batteries, shared his excitement:
“The car looks incredible. It feels very special to be part of the Toyota program and to have an R&J Batteries GR Supra on track. It’s a whole new era for BJR and for Supercars, and we’re very excited to be involved and wish the team every success this season.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to catch the action. The R&J Batteries GR Supra will make its competitive debut at the opening round of the Supercars Championship in Sydney from February 20-22. Get ready, 2026 starts now, and the #8 Supra waits for no one.
